Hi everyone!

I’m Elizabeth– currently a college student majoring in English Literature. My dreams are to become a librarian and work in the children’s or teen’s department helping to educate our next generation in a way only books can, making them more knowledgeable and more empathetic.

My favorite genres are fantasy and adventure, primarily YA. Asking a book lover their favorite book is like asking a parent to choose a favorite child, which is why I can only narrow it down to three books/series. Despite not being fantasy, my all time favorite book is Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. The characters are amazing, and the stories of love, redemption, and revolution make my heart want to burst. My two other favorites are the Harry Potter series (I mean, obviously) and the Eragon series. Both are such beautiful examples of fantasy, and every time I open up their pages I feel like I’m home again, surrounded by the magic we too often lose in reality.

Besides reading, I love painting and appreciating art, listening to music, binge watching Netflix, drinking coffee, and eating all the chocolate I can get my hands on. I love obsessing over personality types, so for those who care, I’m an INFP (idealist, dreamer) and a 9w1 on the Enneagram (peacemaker).

I recently studied in Rome, Italy for a semester, and wow, what a life-changer. My heart misses all the gelato, espresso, tiramisu, pasta, wine, and never-ending pizza. I learned to speak some Italian– mostly food words because we all know that’s most important– and I’m trying to continue my study of the language. Let’s be honest, if there was a way for me to be a librarian in Italy, this would be the dream.
